Thu, 05/07/2020 - 07:25

A range of services and study opportunities are available at jcoh.org/live, the web presence of the Jewish Center of the Hamptons.

Shabbat evening service is at 6 on Fridays and the morning service is on Saturdays at 10, followed by Torah study at noon. Havdalah, marking the end of Shabbat, is held on Saturdays at 7 p.m., with songs and reflections.

Rabbi Joshua Franklin and Cantor-Rabbi Debra Stein hold a virtual coffee hour on Wednesdays at noon. A course on the history of anti-Semitism is held on Fridays at 12:15 p.m.

There is also a book club, which will host Lynda Cohen Loigman on May 21 at noon for a talk about her latest novel, “The Wartime Sisters,” based on real-life accounts of women who worked during the World War II effort on the home front. The organizers of the event have noted that e-copies can be ordered from BookHampton. The author grew up in Massachusetts and received an undergraduate degree in English and American literature from Harvard and a law degree from Columbia Law School.
