Southampton Town's Playgrounds and Skate Parks Are Open

Thu, 06/18/2020 - 13:39

Southampton Town reopened its playgrounds and skate parks on Thursday after months of closures due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The reopening was made possible after an adjustment to the state's phase two guidelines.

The town will follow the Center for Disease Control's safety protocols and visitors must wear face coverings and adhere to the six-feet social distance requirements.

The Red Creek Skate Park and North Sea Skate Park will limit the participants to 10 at a time and face masks must be worn. Hours of operation are Thursday through Monday from noon until 7 p.m. The skate parks will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The playgrounds are open seven days a week and visitors must also wear face masks and practice social distancing. Admittance will be limited to prevent overcrowding. Children under the age of 2 are not required to wear masks. Children who are medically exempt from wearing masks must stay six feet from others.
