Paul Moss, who got a job in his late 20s at the Control Corporation, a company that made custom precision parts, and worked his way up to become president, died of congestive heart failure at his Accabonac Road home in East Hampton on Nov. 9. He was 90 and had been ill for six months.

Denyse E. Reid, who aided the allied forces in Belgium during World War II and was a community activist after settling in Princeton, N.J., in 1955, died on Nov. 14 at the Acorn Glen Assisted Living Facility in Princeton, where she had lived for eight years.

Joan Alice Croan of Sag Harbor, a real estate broker, died on Nov. 9 at the Hamptons Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Southampton. She was 89 and had been in failing health.

Joan T. Card, a lifelong resident of Amagansett and East Hampton, who was said to delight in local seafood, including lobster, scallops, and clams, died of pulmonary disease at her home in East Hampton on Nov. 11. She was 86.

Ms. Rasmussen died at home on Fresh Pond Road in Amagansett on Sunday. She was 51.

Charles Hitchcock, an educator, scholar, and activist who lived on the South Fork for 49 years, died on Oct. 24 at Cathedral Village, a retirement community in Philadelphia, of small cell lung cancer. He was 79.

A funeral Mass for Anne Vasti, formerly of Montauk, will be said on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church there. The Rev. Tom Murray will officiate, with burial following at Fort Hill Cemetery.

Joan V. Otto of Jupiter, Fla., died on Sept. 13 at home there. She was 86 and had been in good health until about six months ago.

Sarah de Havenon-Fowler of Amagansett and New York City died on Oct. 26 at the Kanas Center for Hospice Care in Quiogue of brain cancer, her family said. She was 58. Ms. de Havenon-Fowler was the founder of French Presse Linens at Amagansett Square.

She was born in New York City on July 18, 1960, to Gaston de Havenon and Rebecca Anna-Lou de Havenon. She had five siblings. She grew up in New York City and East Hampton, where she spent weekends and vacations. 

Ms. McKinstry died on Oct. 23, 2018, at the Sarah Neuman Home in Mamaroneck, N.Y., from complications of a stroke at the age of 80. She had been married for 45 years to Gerald C.

Elizabeth Vogt Rossuck of East Hampton, a longtime parishioner, ruling elder, and clerk of session at the Amagansett Presbyterian Church, died on Oct. 22 at Southampton Hospital. She was 82 and had been in increasingly frail health for the past few months.

Gretchen Joan Parks, a former photo editor of Cosmopolitan magazine and a cabaret dancer, died at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital following a heart attack on Sept. 28. She was 84, and had heart disease, her family said.

Kenneth E. Scott, who was superintendent of the East Hampton Town Parks and Recreation Department from 1990 to 2005 and also had a long naval career, died at home in Springs on Oct. 16 after a series of protracted illnesses. He was 74.

Marie Edwards Weber, who was born in East Hampton and lived here all her life, died in her sleep last Thursday at the Westhampton Care Center. Her family said she had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure seven years ago. She was 83.

Mrs. Jackson, a resident of Springs-Fireplace Road in East Hampton for nearly six decades, died on Sept. 25, surrounded by family. She was 89.

A memorial service for Sarah de Havenon Fowler of Amagansett, who died on Friday, will be held at the East Hampton Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Virginia Rizzardi, a former human resources administrator who later used her skills as a vice president and board member of the East Hampton Ladies Village Improvement Society, died on Oct. 24 at home in Springs of lung cancer. She was 77.

Eileen T. Bock of Montauk, who was a co-founder of the hamlet’s senior nutrition program, died on Oct. 8, her 82nd birthday, at the Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. The cause was not immediately known.

A service for Fred P. Anduze will be held on Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in East Hampton. The Rev. Leandra Lambert will officiate. A celebration of his life will follow that evening from 6 to 8 at the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett.

Mary J. Wymes, a longtime Montauk resident and member of the Montauk Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary, died on Oct. 19 at an assisted living home in Rochester. She was 91.

Patricia Ann Keegan of East Hampton Village died on Oct. 5 at the Kanas Center for Hospice Care in Quiogue, at the age of 83. She had been diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer a month before her death.

Anne Vasti, the former owner of Pizza Village in Montauk, died of Alzheimer’s disease on Oct. 10 in Summerville, S.C. She was 94, and had been diagnosed several years ago.

Born in the old Italian community of East Harlem on May 19, 1924, to Concetta Coppola and Ralph Giordano, she grew up in the Bronx, graduating from Christopher Columbus High School there. She went on to study public administration at New York University.

Lea Guyer Gordon of Litchfield, Conn., a native of East Hampton who later in life had a house in Sagaponack, died on Sept. 19. The cause was said to be congestive heart failure. She was 90.

Richard Chauncey Wilson, an East Hampton School Board member who was a Sag Harbor science teacher for 30 years and went on to run the Village Toy Shop in East Hampton, was surrounded by family when he died on Oct. 7 after a long battle with cancer.

Shirley Justine Overton of East Hampton died on Oct. 10 at the Kanas Center for Hospice Care in Quiogue. She was 78 and had been diagnosed with cancer four years ago.

Carol Macdonald Nye, the publisher and co-founder of On Montauk, a free visitors guide, died at home on Oct. 4 of cancer, her family said.

Eileen Bock of Montauk, who once had been executive director of the hamlet’s senior nutrition program, died on Monday at the Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. She was 82. Ms. Bock was cremated and her ashes are to be buried at Fort Hill Cemetery in Montauk. An obituary will appear in a future issue.

A funeral for Richard C. Wilson Sr. of East Hampton will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church on James Lane. Mr. Wilson, who was 78, died on Sunday

Beautiful, elegant, fiercely loyal to family and friends,” and “whip smart,” Heather Kilpatrick, who died at home in Sag Harbor on Sept. 20 at the age of 72, had a distinguished 35-year career in publishing law, first as attorney for Time magazine during the Watergate scandal and later as counsel for Doubleday and Company, Random House, and Time Warner’s book division.
