Sparkling Pointe Vineyards and Winery's Trick or Treatery pairing of sweets and wines will be held in its spacious tasting room.

Wine Classes
The wine classes at Park Place Wines and Liquors in East Hampton are so popular that two of the remaining fall classes are already sold out. However, tickets remain for Sip, Swirl, and Savor at Our Cabernet Sauvignon Master Class on Nov. 7 and If You Like That, You'll Love This on Nov. 21.

The cabernet class will explore the vineyards and flavors that define cabernet sauvignon and make it a staple on wine lists. Participants will taste six wines and learn how terroir influences taste and how to identify the subtle notes that make each bottle unique.

If You Like That aims to broaden participants' wine horizons by providing alternatives to their favorite varietals and regions. Three classic grapes and their alternative expressions will be tasted.

Each class runs from 6 to 7 p.m. and costs $45. Bites are provided by the Cookery in East Hampton, and all ticket sales are final and unrefundable.

A Sparkling Halloween
Sparkling Pointe Vineyards and Winery in Southold is teaming up with the Treatery of Jamesport on Oct. 27 at noon for a Trick or Treatery pairing of three Treatery sweets with a flight of Sparkling Pointe Cuvée Carnaval series wines.

Cuvée Carnaval Blancs will be paired with a lemon ricotta cookie, Cuvée Carnaval Rosé with a raspberry Linzer tart, and Cuvée Carnaval Rouge with flourless chocolate cake.

Reservations on the winery's website have been recommended, and discounts will be available on three, six, or 12-bottle purchases of Cuvée Carnaval wines.

Specials from 1770 House
The 1770 House in East Hampton has announced that a two-course $65 prix fixe menu is now available in the main dining room and in the downstairs tavern.

Among the new starters are yellowfin tuna crudo with Long Lane tomatillo salsa verde and a soup featuring pork and shrimp wontons. Salads include local greens, roasted corn, butternut squash and beets from Balsam Farms, and local cheeses.

A new salmon entree incorporates maitake mushrooms, braised greens, and a carrot-ginger puree. Also available are roasted chicken with Channing Daughters Ramato jus, sherry-braised heritage pork cheeks with cumin and almonds served over polenta, and a cider and paprika-braised rabbit leg.

In addition to the familiar house meatloaf and tavern burger, the a la carte tavern menu will include seasonal appetizers from the fine dining menu.

Another Prix Fixe
Elaia Estiatorio in Bridgehampton has a prix fixe on offer seven days a week from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The price for an appetizer and entree is $49; adding dessert brings it to $59. Among the five starters on the menu are avgolemono, a soup with chicken orzo, egg yolk, and lemon juice; shrimp saganaki, and soutzoukakia, a beef meatball dish with cumin-scented tomato sauce. For entrees there's grilled Berkshire Farm pork chop, chicken souvlaki, rigatoni with shallot butternut squash cream, and grilled whole branzino for an additional $12.

The restaurant's Opa happy hour daily from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the bar features $1 oysters, a menu of small plates, and $14 glasses of select wines every day.
