"Sounds of the Sea for Chamber Orchestra," part of Music for Montauk's summer concert series, will take place Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Montauk Lighthouse.
The ensemble of string and brass musicians will include Joanna Maurer, first violinist, and Demian Austin, principal trombone, both from the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, as well as Caleb van der Swaagh, a cellist. The program will feature orchestral and chamber works inspired by the sea from Bernstein, Poulenc, and others.
Hayley Silvers, Ava Litman, Mischa Abend, and Abey Fuks are teenagers who are standing up to cancer.
The actress Julie Andrews, who wrote the children's book “The Great American Mousical" with her daughter Emma Walton Hamilton, will direct a staged reading of the book on Monday evening at 7 at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor.
