After Sunday's ceremony for the 2021 Teeny Awards, given by East End Arts to artistically talented high schoolers, two South Fork students walked out of the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center with awards for dramatic performances of note. 

From an outdoor concert to puppet shows, live reptiles, story times, and crafts, there's a lot for kids of all ages to do this week.

Haunted houses, corn mazes, and apples, oh my!

New state guidelines announced earlier this week mean that beloved fall activities including corn mazes, apple and pumpkin picking, and haunted houses will be able to open for New Yorkers to enjoy as early as Saturday. 

"The new guidance announced today will ensure that these businesses can open to the public, allowing families to enjoy their favorite fall activities while providing a boost for our farming communities and local economies," Gov. Cuomo said in a release on Tuesday.

From mowing lawns for the elderly to raising chickens to mounting an exhibit on the history of Sag Harbor, this summer has been anything but boring for some kids on the South Fork.

Liz Joyce of Goat on a Boat Puppet Theater returns to Guild Hall on Wednesday for a performance of the Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale — with a twist.

Southampton Town reopened its playgrounds and skate parks on Thursday after months of closures due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The reopening was made possible after an adjustment to the state's phase two guidelines.

The town will follow the Center for Disease Control's safety protocols and visitors must wear face coverings and adhere to the six-feet social distance requirements.

The John Jermain Memorial Library in Sag Harbor is offering Mandarin lessons for children ages 5 to 8 beginning on Saturday.

A guide to story times, movies, art, and music happening this week for kids and teens

Tomorrow at 4 p.m. for Black History Month, the library will show “A Ballerina’s Tale,” a documentary about Misty Copeland, the first African-American to be named principal dancer for the American Ballet Theatre.
