Pussy’s Pond Cleanup Springs December 20, 2015 To the Editor, The Springs Citizens Advisory Committee would like to thank Steve Lynch and the entire East Hampton Town Highway Department for the much needed cleanup of the Pussy’s Pond Nature Preserve that borders Springs-Fireplace Road. As good as it looks now, it will look even better come spring, when new growth will be able to thrive in an environment free of choking vines and far too many dead trees. That area of Springs-Fireplace Road is the gateway to historic Springs.

This Awful ProjectMontaukNovember 2, 2015To the Editor: Two local residents, Dell Cullum and Ilissa Meyer, have repeatedly called attention to flaws in the Village of East Hampton’s deer sterilization program. As soon as the program was proposed, Meyer, who manages a veterinary practice, warned village officials about potential hazards. But the village went forward, hiring the White Buffalo firm to sterilize deer. In January, the White Buffalo staff captured and sterilized 114 does.
