    The harbor branch of Suffolk County National Bank, on West Lake Drive in Montauk, will close for good on Feb. 14 at 3 p.m. All accounts from the bank will be automatically transferred to the branch on Montauk Highway in the downtown area of the hamlet.

    Frank Filipo, the executive operating officer of retail banking, said this week that the harbor branch is one of six that will be closing in order to increase efficiency in the entire branch system. The closing is part of a project that bank officials have been working on for months, he said.

    After the surprising and unwelcome discovery in June that their lease at 14 Gingerbread Lane in East Hampton would not be renewed, Nancy and Tom Rowan, owners of the Golden Eagle, embarked on a search for a new location.     If you picture the Hamptons Organic Beauty Bus as a spa on wheels, you would be almost right.     Ted Delano, who calls himself a “digital cartographer,” has founded an online guide to the Hamptons — both as a Web site and an app — that he claims, surprisingly, has not been done anywhere else. Cellphones and Batteries

     Under a recently instituted New York State program, it is now possible to recycle cellphones and rechargeable batteries at several local retail shops.

   Williamsburg, the Brooklyn neighborhood that exploded in popularity in the late 1990s, has come a long way — literally. As hopeful residents were priced out of its traditional borders, adjacent neighborhoods filled up and gentrified, pushing the neighborhood’s uber-cool phenomenon in every direction but west, where new high-rise buildings stop at the East River’s edge.

    For the second time, MindBody, an international tech company serving the health, beauty, and fitness industries with offices at Red Horse Plaza in East Hampton, is among “The 100 Best Places to Work” as ranked by Outside magazine. The magazine’s 2013 list puts MindBody, based in San Luis Obispo, Calif., at No. 56.

We may be suffering from Montauk fatigue, what with the hamlet featuring prominently in the news from club goings-on to parking mayhem, but it behooves us to note that real estate there is undergoing as much a resurgence as the hamlet’s motels and eating establishments
